Located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, we deliver a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation.

The Pediatric Med/Surg IMC unit (Unit 6) provides care to pediatric cardiac, solid organ (heart) transplant, infectious disease, CF, pulmonary, general medical/surgical, ENT, trauma, and orthopedic patients and their families. We have 24 beds on the unit and patients range from infants to young adults. The challenge of critical care nursing is best experienced in this intermediate care unit (IMC) where nurses care for patients with complex, multi-system health issues.

This position will be working 48 hours every two weeks on the day/evening shift, 8-hour shifts, every other weekend.
Responsibilities Job Description
Performs advanced monitoring using current technology
Manages complex medication and infusion therapies
Cares for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit.
Demonstrates ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.
Qualifications
Required:
BLS for healthcare providers
MN RN licensure
Prefer 6 months of pediatric acute care experience; Will Consider New Grads
Preferred:
Acute Care Inpatient RN experience
Proven nursing leadership and professional advancement including certification in a pediatric specialty area. PALS/PEARS
BSN or greater nursing degree
