Clinic Nurse

Job Description

The RN will assist the provider throughout the clinic with duties including but not limited to:

Preparing patients for scheduled procedures

Retrieving the initial basic condition of patients, creating nursing history, and reporting to the appropriate practitioner

Assisting providers with examinations and procedures

Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Maintaining all required reports, records, statistics, etc.

Ensuring an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment

Inspecting the area daily for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and taking corrective action when violations occur

Scheduling all outside patient appointments per physician order and relaying information accurately to patients

Taking calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relaying appropriate information to the practitioner in a timely manner

Assuring test results are received and relayed to the patient in a timely manner

Completing the medical orientation checklist

Initiating appropriate patient education
