Job Title: Die Cutter Operator

Job Description

The Die Cutter Operator will set-up and run mounting equipment including Tunker and Automatan.

Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am, rotating (rotates every five weeks between Mon – Wed and Thurs – Sat)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

– Set-up and run required jobs on Mounting equipment including Tunker and Automatan.
– Have necessary knowledge of required hand tools and be able to measure in fractions of inches up to and including 32nds.
– Maintain standard of quality.
– Report any problems and/or discrepancies to the die cutting assistant/department manager.
– Keep work area clean and orderly.
– Work overtime when needed.
– Report accurate time and quantities using the “ELF” systems.
– Perform other tasks as requested.
– Be responsible to maintain glue inventory.

Hard Skills

High school diploma or equivalent/Technical or equivalent experience

1 year mounting experience on any material preferred

Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions

Thorough understanding of finishing equipment operation

Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up

Basic Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in any language (including ASL) preferred

Soft Skills

Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation

Demonstrates positive safety attitude

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
Frequent walking and standing.
