Appliance Service associate

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Appliance Service Associate with a high focus on new construction multifamily project work along with some residential warranty service. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm plus overtime as needed – no weekends

Responsibilities

As an Appliance Service Associate, you will:

Maintain product knowledge on multiple brands such as GE, Subzero, Thermador, Asko, Bosch, Miele, Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Jenn Air, Maytag, Dacor, Viking, Marvel, Uline, and Scotsman

Troubleshoot and diagnose appliance issues

Provide service repair options, estimates, and timeframes to customers

Ensure every customers concerns are addressed and resolved

Be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Additional duties as required to include, but not limited to, completing office paperwork notating service calls

Have a company provided laptop, cell phone, and service van to drive home

Qualifications

Prior experience with construction, kitchen, plumbing, home appliance products, or installations preferred

Experience in appliance service within our industry is highly preferred

Relevant appliance service repair skills preferred

Valid state issued drivers license is required (CDL not required)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Familiarity with residential appliances

Ability to deal with a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge

Excellent customer service skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and completely when speaking to customers

Document important job notes in a way a non-tradesperson would understand

Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specs, parts breakdowns, and other documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Outstanding attention to detail

Possess organization, time management, and creative problem-solving skills

Ability to use 3rd party apps to accurately document work

Ability to lift 50 pound objects frequently and 90 pound objects occasionally
