POSITION TITLE: CORPS ASSISTANT
STATUS: FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT
SUPERVISOR: CORPS OFFICERS

SCOPE OF POSITION:
Assist Corps Officers with all programming and administration assignments as described. Assist in the growth and implementation of The Spokane Citadel Corps programs, policies, and practices. The position will require an emphasis on corps and social service outreach programs including, but not limited to youth programs, Marshallese Ministry, seasonal programming, holiday assistance, and data entry.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Must possess a valid Washington State license and pass, both a Motor Vehicle background check and TSA drive training course annually
Two (2) years or more experience with The Salvation Army programs
Must possess a thorough working knowledge of and give competent instruction in Salvation Army
Fluency in the Marshallese language is preferred, or good ability to communicate with Marshallese leaders and congregants.
Must be aware of, implement, and observe all necessary child safety policies (Protecting the Mission).

Must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Act and dress in a professional manner, wearing a Salvation Army uniform when appropriate.
Maintain a valid Washington State Drivers License and be over the age of 21 for auto insurance purposes
Must successfully complete The Salvation Armys driver safety program before driving and will be required to recertify annually as required.
Must meet certification by and participation in The Salvation Armys Fleet Safety Program. (The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy dictates that an employee may not obtain more than two (2) moving violations or accidents within any 12-month period; see The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy)
Working knowledge and ability to use computer systems, including PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with training.
