Qualifications The applicant must be a Licensed Registered Nurse,
Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner with an active license
Incumbents are required to maintain valid clinical licensure Incumbents
are required to have a current and valid motor vehicle driver?s license
at a class level specific to assignment Five (5) years of professional
experience in Nursing Experience in Correctional Health Care is highly
advantageous Must be familiar with principles and practices of quality
improvement, in order to determine the quality, quantity and
appropriateness of clinical health services that are provided to
incarcerated individuals at Massachusetts Correctional Institutions
Applicant must have a strong background in Organizational Management,
Customer Service, Relationship Building and maintain the highest ethical
and professional standards Applicants must have no felony convictions,
to include any actions defined in 5 U.S.C 1997; or has been convicted of
engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community
facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force or coercion, or
if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse, or has
been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the
activity described in the above paragraph Applicants must have at least
(A) six years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional,
administrative, supervisory or managerial experience in business
administration, business management, public administration, financial
management, or professional experience in a particular specialty (i.e
scientific, professional, or technical), and (B) of which four years
must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity, or (C) any
equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions
below Incumbents may be required to have a current and valid motor
vehicle drivers license at a class level specific to assignment A
Bachelors or higher degree with a major in business administration,
business management, public administration, financial management, or
degree related directly to the specialty may be substituted for one year
of the required (A) experience A Graduate or higher degree with a major
in business administration, business management, public administration,
financial management, or degree related directly to the specialty may be

Salary: 87,359.22 – 127,606.96 Biweekly Responsibilities Reports to the
Director of Clinical Services and is responsible for monitoring the
contractual clinical providers compliance with appropriate standards,
regulations and contract requirements The purpose of this position is to
oversee and provide an external organizational process for reviewing,
planning, monitoring and managing the quality and appropriateness of
care for the Massachusetts Department of Correction (DOC) private health
care contracts The Regional Administrator ensures that through the
contractor, the DOC is providing high quality, comprehensive Medical,
Dental and Mental Health Services Will review the quality of
documentation in medical records and conduct periodic, and scheduled
audits at assigned facilities using predetermined performance criteria
as well as approved standards of care and practice Strong background in
general clinical nursing needed with working knowledge in contract
compliance, quality assurance activities, utilization review, problem
identification and analysis, staffing patterns, and training and
education on incarcerated individual issues, Will assess the efficiency
and effectiveness of on-site provisions of clinical operations and
health care services Serves as an active memb r of the Health Services
Division
