Steam Turbine Project Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to assist our large energy clients outage at the Belews Creek Power Station. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in major steam turbine overhauls. This role involves managing the steam turbine area projects, including Low Pressure Turbine Major Inspection, Generator Rewind, Exciter Major Inspection, and Steam Turbine Valve Overhaul. The Project Manager will work under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of these critical projects.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead and manage major steam turbine overhaul projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for each overhaul project.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure successful project execution.

Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.

Prepare and present project status reports to the Senior Project Manager and other stakeholders.

Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, particularly those related to steam turbine overhauls.

Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

10 years experience in managing major steam turbine overhauls.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. PE certification

Past outage experience

OSHA certification null
