Director of Food and Beverage

The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for planning and overseeing all food and beverage outlet operations to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Director of Food and Beverage responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, special events and other FandB related activities
– Promptly resolve any guest complaints or issues
– Training, coaching and enforcing corrective action to Food and Beverage associates.
– Coordinate activities with other hotel departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.
– Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and conduct in accordance with appropriate regulations.
– Ensure proper communication within the department by conducting regular meetings with all team members.
– Recruit new hires, training, coaching and counseling team members, following company, state, and federal regulations.
– Manages finances of the departments, including budget and inventory controls.
– Controls expenditures, labor, supplies, etc. in relation to resort financial forecasts and budget.
– Responsible for communicating with upcoming groups to organize all on-site functions.
– Other job duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

– Previous food and beverage management experience required
– Resort/Hotel food and beverage experience strongly preferred
– Proven experience in effectively leading teams
– Prior banquet and special event experience strongly preferred
– A high level of enthusiasm and flexibility
– Ability to maintain a high level of guest interaction and satisfaction
– The capability of proposing creative ideas to develop staff and procedures
– Strong sales building skills
– Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with guests, coworkers, and supervisors through both written correspondence and verbal interactions
– Celebrate successes and coach or counsel managers or team members on any deficiencies
– Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
– Ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals/direction quickly and multitask
– Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
– Teamwork and collaboration
