The Department of Public Health within the College of Health and Human Services is accepting applications for a tenure-eligible appointment at the rank of assistant pedagogical professor. The following duties listed below are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on administrative discretion and institutional needs. Pedagogical faculty are not required to conduct research.

Teaching: Primary responsibilities will be teaching undergraduate and graduate Public Health and Health Administration courses, which are delivered in-person on campus and potentially online. A secondary responsibility for this position is providing academic and career advising to undergraduate students in the Health Sciences, Public Health, and Health Care Administration majors.

Service: Actively participate in university (program, department, college, and university committees) and professional service, as well as, recruitment and retention efforts.

Demonstrate detail-oriented and self-motivated behaviors

Job Requirements:

An earned doctorate, or ABD, in Health Sciences, Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, Health Services, Health Promotion, Health Administration or closely related field.

Demonstrate interest in student engagement through teaching and service activities.

Teaching experience at the collegiate level

Qualified to teach courses in public health and health administration. Include detailed information about academic qualifications, including degrees earned, relevant coursework, and any specialized training, teaching experience, scholarly work or professional experience in public health and health administration.
