Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. On the job training is available for the right candidate with the willingness to learn. The Maintenance worker is responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Responsibilities
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner.
Ensure guest satisfaction through a properly maintained property, guestrooms and by responding promptly and efficiently to all guest complaints and needs.
Always maintain a guest focus while striving to meet and exceed GSS goals.
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
Install appliances and equipment.
Respond to and complete all work orders in a timely manner.
Complete and track guest room and equipment preventative maintenance as outlined by Quality Assurance requirements.
Check all exterior, public area and signage lighting daily.
Assist in controlling expenses in accordance with budget and checkbook totals
Be able to move luggage or packages weighting up to 40 lbs.
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm).
