Carnegie Mellon Universitys department ofAthletics searching for a Coordinator of Recreation to join their team. This is an exciting opportunityfor someone whothrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You willcontributeto the department by providing support by supporting and assisting in the operation of the recreational programs and fitness facilities in the Cohon University Center, Tepper Fitness Center and the Highmark Center.

Core responsibilities include:

Maintaining the equipment inventory at the recreational facilities, reporting service calls, placing work orders, communicating facility issues with Facilities Management and Campus Services (FMCS) and the Director of Recreation

Student hiring processes using Handshake and Workday (WD) systems

Supervise student desk attendants and weight room cleaners for all recreational facilities, and as such is responsible for training, scheduling, and reviewing and approving time in Workday.

Any additional operational support as may be needed

You should demonstrate:

Efficiency in multiple software programs used for campus recreation services

A high level of customer service to the campus community

Strong collaborations skills to work with campus partners and resources

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred

3-5 years of relevant work experience required

A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
