Earn $21.14/hour 
Position Details  
The vocational specialist plays a crucial role in fostering employment opportunities by establishing and nurturing relationships with local employers throughout Washington and Greene Counties. This position demands a comprehensive grasp of recovery principles and the implementation of a recovery-oriented service system. In preparing clients for practical life engagements, the vocational specialist imparts readiness for employment and community participation. They collaborate in executing rehabilitative and supportive tasks, contributing to treatment, substance abuse programs, educational initiatives, supportive services, and family consultations, all under the guidance of clinically trained professionals. 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
 Conducting workshops to assist individuals in employment preparation, covering topics such as interview attire, interview skills, resume writing, job searching, ergonomics/safe-lifting techniques, workplace safety, energy conservation techniques, and educational opportunities. 
 Participating in treatment planning meetings. 
 Collaborating with ACT members and consumers natural supports to identify goals that aid in the housing process. 
 Assisting in ongoing assessments of individuals mental illness and symptoms, as well as their responses to treatment.  
Services involve weekly home visits, provided either in individuals residences or within the community, utilizing personal vehicles for client transportation and community-based tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:  
 Bachelors degree required with a preferred focus on rehabilitation counseling. 
 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals managing mental illness for candidates without the preferred bachelors degree in rehabilitation counseling will be considered. 
 Proficiency in recovery principles and working within a recovery-driven system. 
 Valid Drivers License. Travel is necessary to offer support across Washington and Greene Counties.
