The Publication Manager, Global Medical Affairs will lead multiple processes related to the dissemination of key strategic publications, providing operational support and project management. The individual will play an integral role in the successful execution of Global Publication Plans across in the Gastroenterology therapeutic area.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and summarize publication status and due dates from multiple vendors, internal publication team members, cross-functional team members and regional team members to assure accurate updates to publication plans

Assist with planning and content development for strategic and tactical publication teams, working groups, and other meetings as the need arises

Provide direction and training when needed to regional partners on SOPs, work instructions, and systems required for execution of publications

Attend scientific congresses and meet with external authors to discuss planning and logistics of publications

Partner with publication vendors to assure documentation for abstracts, posters, and manuscripts

Assist Scientific Communications Lead (SCL) with vendor management, including handling timelines, tracking, metrics, and budgets

Lead the internal dissemination of final scientific publication materials and publication plans

Qualifications

Education:

BA/BS required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

A minimum of 5 years of combined relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.

Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and project management skills are required

Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize assignments is required

Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and team building skills

Up to 15% travel; some travel may be international

Preferred:

Prior experience in a Medical Affairs or Publications Manager role for 3 or more years is preferred

A demonstrated track record of success within Medical Affairs, clinical environment and/or scientific function is desired
