ROLE SUMMARY

The US Vaccines Franchise consists of a sizeable portfolio of innovative products (5) that produce substantial public health impact by protecting millions of people every year from serious diseases such as meningitis, Covid and pneumococcal pneumonia.

The US Vaccines Operational Enablement (OE) Team plays a critical role within the Vaccines franchise, acting as the control tower for business leaders. The group will continuously deliver priority insights required for strategic decision making, lead/ support key commercial and cross-functional initiatives and coordinate critical enterprise and Vaccines franchise processes.

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a highly engaged, collaborative team with a demonstrated track record of preparing colleagues for promoted positions in marketing, sales leadership, director of operations, finance, and other commercial roles. We are looking for individuals who possess a combination of strategic & analytical thinking, project management, and preferably US Vaccines business experience, to effectively aid in delivering on the franchises portfolio aspirations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will interface with Vaccines Leadership Team and their teams on a broad range of strategic and operational priorities. The candidate will play an influential leadership role in fostering a strong, collaborative partnership culture within Vaccines and beyond. Key responsibilities can include:

Portfolio Performance Enablement : Rigorously assess and enable better sub-national business performance.

Strategic portfolio prioritization: Lead semesterly exercise to inform portfolio prioritization and resource allocation for customer-facing colleagues

Connecting the dots: Provide brand teams with strategic thought leadership to pull through on sub-national / segment level performance against established goals

Lead cross-functional teams to refresh accounts/ HCP-level segmentation, based on internal and external market dynamics to inform field force targeting or omnichannel non-personal promotion efforts in collaboration with

Provide single source of truth recommendations for sub-national brand performance management

Facilitate periodic performance reviews with Vaccines franchise leaders for diagnosing performance drivers and developing action plans to maximize performance

Partner with Sales on resource allocation/ CFC effectiveness: IC strategy & metrics alignment by brand, Next Best Action for Portfolio

Strategy & Process Enablement: Lead critical franchise processes and cross-functional commercial initiatives

Proactively identify, assess, and communicate anticipated or evolving market challenges and opportunities, and subsequent implications for the vaccines business

Coordinate the annual Operating Plan process and Tactical plan process for US Vaccines

Support Vaccines related inputs into broader strategic planning exercises and/or disease area strategies

Manage agendas and content for Vaccines leadership forums

Support Vaccines franchise related business operations inputs requested by Pfizer Primary Care BU

Lead/ support cross-functional and cross-business commercial initiatives sponsored by the Vaccines Leadership Team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred

10 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting experience. US Vaccines commercial experience is preferred

Understands trends in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, customer and stakeholder landscapes, competitive dynamics, regulatory and access environments, delivery systems and channels

Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills

Demonstrated success in a fast-paced setting

Strong project management and coordination skills with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions

Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities

Comfort with ambiguity and complex “white space” environments

Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans

Ability to actively contribute to an environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization/dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau)

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
