Youth Basketball Lead – Seasonal

Do you enjoy working with youth and have a need to give back to the community? The Stateline YMCA is currently hiring seasonal, part-time Youth Basketball Site Leads. Join a forward-thinking non-profit organization in furthering our mission to provide programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Candidates can expect:

Games are Fridays 5:30pm-7:30pm, and Saturdays from 9am-1pm

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure site is set-up prior to beginning of games and programming. Cleaning-up when games/programming are complete.

Coordinate referees and umpires to ensure coverage at each game. Assist as needed.

Responsible for maintaining timely and transition of games and programs.

Ensure spectators are conducting themselves in a safe and respectable manner.

Uphold all standards, rules, and regulations that generally apply to the sport, as well s those specific to the Stateline Family YMCA league.

Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, volunteers, and other staff.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent required

Minimum 1-year related experience preferred

Skills

Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
