P/T Child and Adolescent Therapist

New Creation Academy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Therapist to join ourteam. At New Creation Academy, we understand that social-emotional well-being is foundational

Responsibilities:

– Provide individualized behavioral therapy services to children ages 2-5 who may exhibitchallenging behaviors or social-emotional difficulties.
– Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral patterns, triggers, and areas forintervention.
– Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans that utilize positive behaviorstrategies and evidence-based interventions.
– Collaborate with teachers and parents to create a consistent and supportive approach tobehavior management.
– Embed therapy sessions seamlessly into classroom routines and play activities.
– Model positive behavior management techniques for teachers and staff.
– Monitor and document childrens progress and adjust behavior support plans as needed.
– Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

– Masters degree in Behavioral Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
– Connecticut license to practice behavioral therapy (or eligibility for licensure).
– Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood education setting.
– Strong understanding of child development, behavior management principles, and early childhood education practices.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
– Passion for working with children and supporting their social-emotional development.
– Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and therapists.
