Euphrates is seeking a Packaging member in their Johnstown, NY facility.

This is a Monday – Friday position 6AM-4:30PM. Weekly bonus available!

Tote emptying: Responsible for siphoning brine from the totes, taking the bag out of the tote and disposing of it and then you send the tote to the tote washer. Loading it onto the door and starting the cleaning operation.

Labeler: Responsible for affixing the proper label to the appropriate size container. You will be working closely with the packaging lead operators to know which orders are to be done and the order of which they need to be.

Packer: Responsible for placing the correct amount of cheese in the package and weighing it before sending it down the conveyor. Verifying to ensure that the order matches what the customer wants.

Palletizer: Responsible for placing the finished boxes or pails on the pallet according to the shipping requirements of the order. You will need to work with the packaging lead operators to verify the specifics of the order and ensure proper shipping label is attached.

Packaging Lead Operators: Responsible for setting the department up in the morning. Checking the reports and getting the right material for the operators to fill. You will work closely with the shipping department ensure that all orders are filled in the right order so that trucks are not waiting for a long period of time for product.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs. and push/pull at least 100 lbs.

Must be able to be on your feet for 10 plus hours

Must be able to work in a hot/humid environment

Must be able to work in an environment that is 55 degrees and wet due to the cheese brine

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-50 per week
