Senior Medical Radiology Technologist

Job Summary: We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the University of Radiology Associates team.Flexible rotation between our Downtown Syracuse location at 550 Harrison and the Camillus location at Township 5.

Responsible for the independent operation of the sonography equipment and for performing and communicating results of the diagnostic exams

Responsible for the daily operations which include patient schedules, daily equipment maintenance and QA

Must be able to use independent judgement during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between a normal and a pathological exam

Obtain appropriate medical history, prepare preliminary reports and communicate findings to the Radiologist

Must be a self starter and work independently

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Medical Radiography and License and Registration (ARRT) required.RDMS certification is required. Two years experience as a Medical Radiology Technologist. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

RDMS/RVT with prior experience. If candidate does not have the RVT credential, will allow 6 months to obtain RVT credentials. Studying during work time is permitted if patient schedule allows.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional OT
