Job Title: Mechanical Assembler – Paint Prep
Hours:
5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday
Job Description
Assist painters and perform diversified mechanical assembly operations required to assemble and prepare various sizes and models of compaction and forklift machines and related equipment for shipment. Responsibilities include the assembly and erection of complete machines, machine sections, or subassemblies, diagnosing malfunctions or difficulties with mechanical aspects, hydraulic systems, and control circuits. Use various equipment such as work benches, heating torches, hydraulic press, hand press, grinders, drills, precision measuring instruments, overhead cranes, hand trucks, portable welders, torque wrenches, and mechanics hand tools. Follow complex drawings, route cards, material lists, and specifications to plan and execute assembly operations, ensuring all components fit, adjust, and align correctly. Perform running and performance tests, diagnose malfunctions, and report any issues to supervisors. Maintain a clean and orderly working area and complete time and production reports.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
This is a climate-controlled shop with assembly lines running the length of the shop. The shop is very clean and follows 5S principles. The manufacturing setting includes welders, CNC machinists, and forklifts. You will be part of a close-knit team working on assembly lines with up to 5 co-workers. The dress code includes long pants, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses. Working hours are from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays.
