The role you will contribute:

Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing systems and medical gas systems. Tests fire systems valves, tamper switches, fire pumps and dry deluge fire systems. Assists in operation and general maintenance of all essential repairs related to the facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Installs, maintains and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters and plumbing fixtures.

· Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensate return stations, and sewer and storm drains

· Maintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems

· Assist in operation and general maintenance of painting, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems. Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested

· Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing, mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and piping as scheduled or needed under general supervision

· Responds to in-house Work Orders and PMs on daily basis, and in a timely manner •Under general supervision may be required to respond to emergency calls

· May be required to take call in accordance with facility in a timely manner

· Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Maintains record ensuring compliance with TJC, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards. Responsible for keeping current on maintenance logs

· Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Three years of healthcare maintenance

· Ability to assist trade personnel and contractors as necessary to coordinate repairs to plumbing

· Able to communicate in English

· Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately

· Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies

· Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner

· Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form

· Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes

· Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment

· Basic Microsoft office computer skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· High School Education or GED

· Two years of maintenance experience.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

· Drivers License
