Material Coordinator A 2021

This is a job for a Material Coordinator A with a company located in the Pascagoula, MS area.

Job Summary: Uses blueprints and schematics to determine what materials are needed to complete the job assignment, locates that material, and has it transported to the work area. Works with warehouse personnel to determine the availability or backlog of material. Maintains the proper paperwork involved in the receipt and placement of material.

Responsibilities: Review blueprints or schematics to verify what materials and their quantity are needed for job completion. Meet with warehouse personnel to ascertain the availability of the material in storage or what may be on backorder. Decide to have available material transported to the job site. Follow up on back-ordered material. Maintain paperwork associated with the receipt and movement of material.

Qualifications: 5 years of experience in shipbuilding in the fields of engineering or one of the crafts associated with the use of blueprints or schematics required.
