Material Handler – 2nd Shift – ONeal Manufacturing Services

Position Summary

The Material Handler will perform all movement of material within the premises and assist with related finishing or assembly to customer specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

Commitment to workplace safety.

Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment to move material within the premises.

Assembly and related finishing, based on production demand.

Provide error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Work under direct supervision.

Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.

Powder coating experience is a plus.

Other duties as assigned.

Shift

2nd Shift – Voluntary overtime opportunity on Fridays when applicable.

Monday – 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Tuesday – 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Wednesday – 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Thursday – 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Friday – As Needed (Voluntary OT)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively throughout the course of a shift.

Ability to bend, stand, twist, and stoop for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.

Skills and Qualifications

Simple problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to operate forklifts and cranes is preferred.

Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banders.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

Knows commonly used practices, and procedures.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers (preferred).

High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
