The Senior Trainer is responsible for planning, developing, and conducting technical training programs for a varied audience designed to promote knowledge of and compliance with environmental, transportation, health and safety requirements, including the preparation and facilitation of training courses both live and on-line and/or other non-traditional delivery methods, such as video conferencing and webinars, and ensuring proper and consistent procedures are being taught to maintain an effective workforce.

Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

Write, edit, and teach classes in the following disciplines: OSHA, DOT, IATA, RCRA, EPA, FMCSA, Company policies and procedures and other topics as necessary.

Determine the requirements for training programs in environmental, health, safety, transportation, and related fields, for management, supervisory, professional, and technical employees.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement.

Provide internal consulting services to other departments to assist with the design and development of their training programs.

Conduct “train-the-trainer” classes to promote the use of local, internal employee trainers.

Research and maintain an on-going knowledge of regulatory compliance rules, and update training programs as appropriate.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure new training needs are identified and the applicable classes are developed and made available to the field.

Ensure the regulatory content and quality of all training programs are kept current and to the highest standard.

Facilitate training courses both live and on-line and/or other non-traditional delivery methods, such as video conferencing and webinars.

Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
