Manufacturing Supervisor

Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Norwalk, OH! This position will oversee all activities on the production floor, serving as the technical authority, as well as providing leadership and guidance to the staff.
Job Duties
Supervise production personnel. This may include salaried as well as hourly union personnel.
Assess and optimize process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities; innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes
Ensure KPI goals are met for the department; to include but not limited to safety, productivity, scrap, backorder, and WIP.
Applied experience of LEAN and Six Sigma tools and methods
Support operator training for new and existing processes, products, and equipment
Report and identify manufacturing issues and execute solutions using tools such as SPC.
Support new product manufacturability and launch into production
Conduct time studies to verify or establish process specifications
Execute cost improvement activities
Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in process, test results, measurements, labor and special projects.
Work with Engineering on process improvements
Perform other related tasks as requested or assigned.
Supervisor Resposibilities
Supervise production personnel
Requirements
Two-year technical certificate or degree in machining plus 5 years machining experience OR 8 years of related supervisory experience.
Previous supervisor or leading teams experience preferred.
Preferred experience in a unionized labor environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively and lead production teams
Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Preferred experience completing complex machine setups.
Well-developed mathematical and problem solving skills.
Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Knowledge and the ability to operate the following tools and devices: mill, lathe, sanders, grinders, drills, micrometers, callipers, indicators, gauges, presses a plus.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
CAD and CNC experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
