Civil CAD Technician

Job Title: Civil CAD TechnicianJob Description

Commonwealth Engineering is looking for a Civil CAD Technician to join their team in the new Huntingburg Office. The role involves collaborating with project engineers on design activities, supporting Senior CAD specialists with 2D and 3D designs, preparing engineering drawings for construction, assisting with quantity take-offs, GIS figure development, and preparing water & wastewater construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The technician will work with Civil Project Engineers and Project Managers on design activities related to water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems, prepare report figures for projects, assist in field work (construction inspection and oversight, surveying), and support other related engineering and design needs as they arise.

Hard Skills

Proficiency with AutoCAD

Proficiency with Civil 3D

Recent Civil Drafting experience (Min of 1 year)

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Huntingburg, Indiana.

Work Environment

Professional environment – this office (Indy South) is the HQ of Commonwealth. Business Casual dress attire. Collaborative work environment – will work within a team setting (PM, PE, CAD specialists) and work on projects together as a team.
