Are you seeking a new and challenging opportunity to further enhance your career? Corteva Agriscience Research & Development currently has an opportunity for an Agricultural Development Intern. This position creates value for the R&D organization by engaging in cross-functional projects, programs, and teams to advance collaborations that increase farmer access to Cortevas sustainable innovations and grow Cortevas business, while increasing the productivity, incomes, and sustainable farming practices of Corteva customers across the globe.
What Youll Gain:
Collaborative Environment: Work with cross-functional global teams to advance relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Gates Foundation and Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
Impact Global Food Security: Contribute to the development of collaborations that are improving food security for communities in countries such as Ethiopia, India and Argentina.
Scale Sustainable Innovations: Help deliver sustainable innovations to farmers around the globe which are critical to improving productivity and reducing crop loss from pests and diseases.
Qualifications
What Youll Bring:
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in International Development, Agricultural Economics or a related field. Candidates must be enrolled in classes the semester following their internship with Corteva.
Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks during the timeframe of internship (typically May to August).
Proficiency in common Microsoft applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate at all levels
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
