This entry-level engineering position involves applying academic engineering knowledge to real-world problems, learning new design methodologies, and mastering in-house software. You will perform engineering design for components and connections, 3D finite element analysis, and 3D modeling of structures under senior staff guidance. Responsibilities include document preparation in CAD and BIM environments and managing staff to complete tasks as needed.

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Aurora, Illinois and some days remote.

Work Environment

The company operates a large production facility with an attached office space in Aurora, as well as an office in Indianapolis. The team includes in-house designers, drafters, modelers, and structural engineers. The Aurora office staff of 65 people consists of 50% drafters/modelers and the rest are licensed structural engineers. Employees typically receive a 10-15% bonus based on company performance and are eligible for $5,000 in tuition reimbursement. The role will start 100% in-office with the option to work remotely for 2 days per week once approved by the manager. The company offers 3 weeks of PTO and 8 holidays.
