Tyson is currently in the process of expanding our operations in
Caseyville with a $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of
the art production lines to our current 4 production lines. With
automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion the
facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility
currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products and
the expansion will further develop our capabilities.

As a Maintenance Generalist, you will have the opportunity to work

Shift: D Shift

Pay Level Range: Pay starts at $26.65 to $38.05. The pay grade is
determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge,
and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (

Include, but are not limited to the following)

– Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the
safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
– Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical,
electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
– Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
– Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,
and hydraulic equipment.
– Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned
production equipment.
– Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant
and individual goals.
– Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
– Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
– Must be able and willing to furnish your own tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanic work
experience documented in the work history section of the application or
be a graduate of and industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a
combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years).

SPECIAL SKILLS:

– Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging
information, processing daily work orders, and completing required
documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized
Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

– Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math
skills required.

– Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability
to lift 20 lbs. frequently.

– Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.

– Ability to wo k in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a
ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.

– Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.

– Frequent overhead work.

– Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100
degrees; outside work may also be needed.

– Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and
measurements.

Applicants will be considered for, General Maintenance level
openings.

Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset,
knowledge, and experience.
