Role: Director, Business Development for Hospital Partnerships
Market: APEX which includes: Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois,
Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee

addition, identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities for
innovative relationships and leads successful expansion of existing
relationshi

This position directs strategic new Hospital Services business and ensures
incremental priority hospital and health system Hospital Services
relationships are developed.

In this role you work with identified Health Systems and Hospital targets in
collaboration with DaVita internal teams, to develop acute kidney care
relationships. You will also collaborate with teams, and participate in
cross lane leverage, to identify opportunities and strategies for other
lines of business that can be developed.

Relationships built and maintained include, but not limited to: acute
dialysis / apheresis or other developed extracorporeal therapies and
hospital-based discharge planning services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations
of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

Development – serve as Hospital Services development executive within 1 to 2
$1B operating groups. Lead initiatives that drive long-term growth as
part of division leadership team.

Strategy – partner with Hospital division leadership team to analyze market
trends and identify opportunities/threats.Develop plans for division to
achieve Companys objectives related to revenue, EBITDA, capital,
presence, and other key measures.

Transactions – source, develop, and negotiate renal partnerships with
assigned Hospitals and Systems. Examples include Hospital Services
Agreements, and Discharge planning agreements.

Collaboration -Develop strong relationships with external and internal
customers which will help facilitate more growth. Teams and resources may
include core Pegasus BD team, Operations, Strategy, Finance, M&A,
Legal, Hospital Services, Payor Contracts, Integrated Care, other.

Partner Relationships – develop, manage, and/or track executive
relationships with Hospitals, Systems, and related stakeholders and assist
with DaVitas partner selection process for strategic opportunities.

Deliverables – manage key deliverables. Prepare and deliver executive
presentations to senior leadership teams within Company and at external
partners.

Reporting – update Salesforce.com and other internal tools. Provide timely
status on accounts, opportunities and other growth initiatives within
division.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelors degree is required. An MBA, MPH, or a relevant
graduate degree is preferred.

Healthcare Experience: Significant work experience in the healthcare
industry with Medical Device Strategic Sales, Health System strategy and
growth, knowledge of industry dynamics (e.g., cost, quality,
reimbursement, Hospital purchasing strategies, etc).

Experience in development of new Hospital and System relationships development
preferred.

If no Device or Hospital experience, then other relevant experience
(e.g., management consulting, private equity, investment banking,
and pharmaceutical or physician relationship development).

Development Experience: 5 years of transaction experience in Corporate
Development and sales (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, joint
ventures, other partnerships). Significant experience in influential
leading teams to execute all aspects of transactions including planning,
analysis, proposal development, negotiation, execution, and integration.

Strategy & Planning: Demonstrated experience analyzing markets,
pa tners, and competitors to develop 3-5 year growth strategies and plans.
Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated
intellectual and analytical rigor. Collaborate closely with Operations and
Strategy to prioritize and maintain focus on highest-value opportunities.

Relationship Management: Passion for building trusted-advisor relationships
with partners to create tangible results. Genuine interest in bringing
high-quality care to more patients by aligning DaVita growth strategies with
partner strategic objectives. Partners may include nephrologists, medical
groups, health systems/hospitals, and health plans.

Opportunity Management: Ability to structure and manage complex projects and
processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels. Ability
to handle projects with multiple work streams, with proven success over a
wide variety of business opportunities.
