As a Sales Representative for Bunzl, you will work within our Grocery business segment to deliver the best, most efficient solutions to support the growth and profitability of our business customers. This specific territory will be heavy account management/penetration focused as the position is dominated by one large customer account.
The geography covers Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, with an ideal candidate living near Buffalo, NY. This is a remote position with less travel than most of our Sales Rep roles.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and driving sales within this customer account. You will be selling any disposable goods a grocery store needs to do business (containers and packaging, grocery bags, towel/tissue, personal protective equipment, cleaning supplies, etc.). In an effort to serve as a trusted business partner, you will build deep customer relationships, handle customer complaints and inquires, manage Accounts Receivables and communicate successfully with all appropriate internal departments/personnel. Substantial work will revolve around ensuring customer satisfaction through delivery accuracy. Your scope of responsibility will include: comparing inventory to customers weekly POs, verifying pending incoming product deliveries with the vendors and working with internal stakeholders to identify replacement solutions when needed.
Responsibilities:
Increase sales through greater account penetration within an existing major account
Leverage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate product delivery
Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and margin goals
Demonstrates outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts
Work with manufacturers representatives to sell promoted items
Attend sales meetings and meet with sales manager on a regular basis
Manage Accounts Receivables successfully
Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments
Utilize all appropriate VIP sales techniques and methodologies
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
High School graduate required; Bachelors degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a preferred
Previous Territory Sales/Account management experience
Previous selling experience in a paper, packaging, janitorial/sanitation or food service distribution industry preferred
Requires outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties
Strong analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills
Requires ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
CRM experience (Salesforce, Dynamics, Oracle, etc.)
Experience with IBM AS/400 operating system highly desired
The target salary range for this position is $60-100K, plus commission eligibility based on experience, education, and geography
