Security Officer – PRN

$2000 SIGN ON BONUS

Position: Security Officer – Emergency Department – PRN

The ideal candidate will provide security services in collaboration with HRRMC
Security Supervisor to augment the 24/7 culture of security in the Emergency
Department. In addition this role creates emergency accounts, scanning
necessary documentation i.e. orders, insurance cards, identification and
other correspondence.

Duties:
1. On-site timely response to an identified security risk/threat. Is able to
de-escalate patients in crisis and/or presenting with aggressive cues.
Maintains a high visibility presence.
2. Manages emergency or crisis situations
3. Greets patients, visitors, physicians and employees in a cordial and
professional manner, being as helpful as possible.
4. Answers telephone promptly, transfers calls to the correct extension and
takes messages when necessary. Practices telephone courtesy at all times,
being as helpful as possible to the caller.
5. Is proficient in CPSI registration.
6. Collects, scans, and verifies insurance information.
7. Obtains appropriate consents signed by patient and/or appropriate
individual for all services being rendered.

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
Law Enforcement or Hospital Security experience required.

Other Requirements:
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful
completion of a criminal background check, reference checks, infection
prevention procedures TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, negative
drug screen: (including medical marijuana), physical capacity profile
and acknowledgement of policies.

Wage: $20.52 – $25.80 per hour based on experience. Paid bi-weekly.

This position will be eligible for select benefits to include: 8% PRN
shift differential, night and weekend shift differential, employer
matching retirement plans, employee gym, and employee assistance program.

Shift: PRN (on call as needed) Night Shift
