Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a highly qualified self-motivated Technical Writer/Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) to work in support of our major Department of defense (DoD) contract with Strategic Systems program (SSP). Candidate will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team in an office environment.

The selected candidate will:

Edit and proofread applicable documents

Ensure documents conform to company and government standards and specifications

Interface with personnel at various levels of the organization

Evaluate documents for completeness and accuracy

Be a trusted quality business partner to Program Area Managers/Deputy Program Managers

Participate in the Quality Assurance Working Group (QAWG) maintaining the quality management system

Ensure compliance to internal Process Asset Library (PAL) and Process Documentation System Library (PDSL) document requirements

Ensure the Program s Cameo Systems Modeler – Business Architecture Model (BAM) Block Definition Diagrams (BDDs) and general information is current

Assist in conducting/supporting internal and external (ISO/T9001B) audits

Assist in corrective/preventive action reviews including root cause analysis

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities for improvement

Assist in PAL documentation development, review and update

Assist in the identification and management of quality-based risk actions

Assist in the development and review of Key Performance Indicators. (KPIs

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelors Degree and at least two years of related/relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and related/relevant work experience.

Additional skill/experience required:

Expert-level skills with Microsoft Word; strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

Demonstrated skills in technical writing, grammar and usage, form, organization of ideas, and technical communications

Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details

Ability to plan and prioritize tasks to successfully meet/exceed customer expectations

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Associates or Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline

Familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information (e.g., requirements, portion markings, and creation)

Familiar with the Strategic Systems Program mission

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 – $109010

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
