CNC Saw Machine Operator

Summary/Objective: The CNC Saw Operator operates a computer
numerical control metal cutting saw while following company guidelines,
safety requirements, quality requirements, and production standards.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with

– Read and follow traveler instructions.
– Load and unload material Safely using forklift onto roller and
material racks.
– Program CNC saw accurately to cut metal for specified jobs.
– Measure and document production standards.
– Read basic blueprint measurements.
– Measure by both tape measure and calipers.
– Document counts.
– Follow all safety protocols.
– Organize, clean, and maintain machine/work area.
– Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate.

Requirements/Qualifications:

– Forklift Certified
– 1 years programming and operating a CNC saw. Manual saw experience
combined with CNC Lathe or Mill experience may substitute
– Experience with Hydmech H-14A strongly preferred
– Some experience with mechanical hand tools
– High school diploma / GED
– Attention to detail.
– Basic knowledge of machine and controller functions.
– Basic knowledge of machine tolerances.
– Basic mechanical skills.
– Basic mathematical knowledge.
– Good communicator, able to listen and ask questions.
– Strong work ethic.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand
for long periods of time; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach
with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to lift products and supplies, up to
50 pounds. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors
and dust.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and normal hours of work and days are for
Day Shift; Monday thru Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. Occasional overtime
is available during peak times.
