Summary:

Meta is hiring Privacy Policy Managers with expertise in privacy and technology policy issues to join our Privacy and Data Policy team and help us build products, services, and technologies that promote the best interests of our users. The teams mission is to develop privacy-protective and innovative approaches to data and our services that help bring the world closer together and improve peoples lives. In this role, youll help shape the companys approach to privacy across our suite of products and services.Youll work closely with product managers, engineers, external stakeholders, and cross-functional partners across the company to build privacy and fairness into our products and services. Youll serve as a subject matter expert for Metas global policy team on Metas products and work with our teams to evaluate and respond to legislative and regulatory developments, and to engage with external experts on privacy and fairness around the world.A strong candidate will be familiar with privacy and fairness issues related to social media platforms and messaging services. You should be a self-starter, a team player, and a creative problem solver who is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. You should also have an understanding of and familiarity with the stakeholders and perspectives in the privacy community and be able to use your knowledge to promote privacy and fairness in Metas products and services, and drive improvements across the industry.

Required Skills:

Monetization Policy Manager Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and provide guidance on the privacy and fairness implications of products, services, and features

2. Work with developers, designers, lawyers, product managers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams build creative solutions to policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, marketing and other privacy challenges

3. Serve as a representative of Meta regarding privacy issues in external meetings and conferences

4. Analyze global legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy, data security, fairness, and other technology issues

5. Consult with external privacy experts and other policy stakeholders on how best to ensure that Meta handles data and builds products responsibly

6. Serve as a subject matter expert on policy issues related to either online advertising/monetization or Metas enterprise business products (B2B)

7. Bachelors degree

8. 5 years of experience with privacy, data security, or technology policy issues (2 years with advanced degree in relevant field)

9. Experience counseling and advising on privacy, data security, or other technology policy issues

10. JD or Master’s degree or equivalent

11. Experience with privacy or technology policy issues

12. Experience working directly with senior business executives

13. Working familiarity with privacy legislative frameworks, especially with respect to sensitive information type

14. Experience with creating policy analysis and public presentations

15. Working familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning and algorithmic automated-decision-making systems

16. Experience with either online advertising and monetization of technology products and services or enterprise business products such as SaaS, PaaS, or business messaging

Public Compensation:

$194,000/year to $270,000/year bonus equity benefits
