Lockheed Martins Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area is seeking a Calibration Technician Senior Specialist to support our Orlando, FL facility. Our team is responsible for Quality Calibrations for Orlando site as well as offsite customers, including onsite calibrations in other locals.

In this role, you will have a solid understanding of Metrology principles as they relate to AC/DC low frequency measurements, microwave measurements, mechanical and thermodynamic measurements. You will have a thorough knowledge of calibration lab safety, be a team player, have a friendly disposition, and be quality minded.

What You Will Be Doing

Duties include but are not limited to:

•Performing complex calibrations using Metcal/Surecal/VEE/TME

•Troubleshooting issues related to calibrations and procedures

•Working across multiple calibration labs

•Providing on-site support of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) certifications.

•Ability to train new employees in calibration principles

•Communicating with our customers about their calibrations

•Work closely with our metrologists to improve procedures and processes

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

-Technical Associate’s Degree with 3 years of experience or equivalent experience/combined education

-Minimum of 4 years documented experience in a Calibration Lab

-Ability to interpret specifications

-Strong background in electronic, electrical, and/or RF/Microwave calibration

-Physical/ Dimensional calibration experience

-Formal PMEL/TMDE training

-Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

-Travel may be required up to 20%

-Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs

Desired Skills:

-Excellent written and verbal communication

-Excellent computer skills

-Electronics calibration experience

-Mechanical calibration Experience

-Familiarity with LabView, SureCal, MetCal, and Cal Exec and/or other automated metrology software a plus

-RF Calibration experience

-PMEL, TMDE background a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
