Your Career
The People Science team at Palo Alto Networks is dedicated to understanding and enhancing our most valuable asset, our employees. We provide insights that connect people and performance with business outcomes across the employee lifecycle. As a Sr. People Scientist, you will play a critical role in our team, leading strategic people analytics-related projects (e.g., location strategy) and supporting our G&A functions (e.g., IT, Finance, People, Marketing, Legal). Your ability to blend deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen will drive impactful insights and strategic decisions. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our people strategy and ensuring our G&A functions have the insights they need to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and competitive landscape.
Your Impact
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on key organizational issues, such as defining and optimizing our location strategy
Develop and implement advanced analytics models to extract actionable insights, inform long-term objectives, and ensure alignment with broader business goals
Act as a trusted advisor to G&A leadership, understanding their challenges and providing data-driven insights to support their strategic goals
Create user-friendly visualizations that make complex data understandable and actionable for diverse stakeholders, including senior executives
Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders through compelling narratives, influencing strategic decisions, and driving organizational change
Continuously evaluate the impact of research initiatives, iterating on approaches based on results and evolving organizational needs
Stay at the forefront of the latest trends in people analytics, AI/ML research methods, and unstructured data analysis, championing the adoption of innovative tools and techniques within the organization
Your Experience
5 years in research-oriented roles within people analytics, organizational psychology, or a similar field
Expertise in unstructured data analysis and applying AI/ML tools to derive deep insights
Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R and familiar with AI platforms and frameworks
Strong capabilities in data visualization with tools like Tableau or Power BI, able to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable visual presentations
Knowledge of SQL and experience with big data platforms like Google Cloud Platform, Hive, or Redshift
A proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, comfort with ambiguity, and a dynamic business landscape are essential
Exceptional ability to collaborate within a team, fostering idea generation and driving towards impactful execution
Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and impact

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $131,200/yr to $212,300/yr.
