We are currently seeking qualified Certified Nursing Assistants to add to our team of professionals at Bibb Medical Centers Nursing Home. As an important member of our team, the CNA delivers quality care to our residents, as well as provides care and services to allow residents to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Bibb Medical Center policies and procedures. The CNA should enjoy interacting with others and have strong interpersonal communication skills.

Duties include:

– Grooming and bathing patients with low mobility.
– Preparing each patient room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment and bathroom needs.
– Helping patients eat and take medications.
– Making sure they have regular meals and proper medication dosages.
– Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing and medical staff.
– Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed.
– Turning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomfort.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

– Currently certified by the State of Alabama as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
– One (1) year geriatric experience preferred, but not required.
– CPR or BLS certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. Must remain current during employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 – $14.00 per hour
