Appraisal Assistant

SUMMARY: The Department of Records and Assessment is seeking to fill a
full-time Appraisal Assistant position. This position assists property
appraisers by conducting property inspections, performing data entry,
corresponding with the public and taxpayers, collecting and documenting
property characteristics, photographing and measuring buildings and
structures, reading architectural plans and producing building sketches,
compiling market information, and performs other duties as required by
the position. The preference is for the successful candidate to be a
highly motivated, personable individual with good computer, analytical,
customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate is
someone who works well both independently and as part of a team and who
enjoys a mix of outdoor and office environment working environments.
Must possess a valid vehicle operators license with a good driving
record. Studies have shown that some will be less likely to apply for a
job if they do not meet every one of the qualifications listed. We are
