Magnetic Technologies Corporation

The Die Cast Operator will create, adapt, and adjust molds used in cast manufacturing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

– None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

– Constructs, adapts, and modifies molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations.
– Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after molding operations.
– Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances.
– Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mold enters production cycle.
– Maintains knowledge of materials and products.
– Assists machinists and millwrights with injection molding process and equipment.
– Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

– Thorough understanding of machinery and mold creation.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Thorough understanding of applicable safety rules.

Physical Requirements:

– Prolonged periods standing.
– Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
– Superior manual dexterity, muscular control, and delicate touch necessary to complete precision work without damaging valuable molds.
– Visual acuity to read blueprints and perform visual inspections.
