As a Specialist Closing at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), you will be responsible for making meaningful moments for Owners, members, and guests. As a Specialist Closing, you will advise the Sales team on issues related to ownership contracts (e.g., titles, financing, pre-approval). Ensure that signed contract paperwork is accurate and contains all necessary information and documentation. Respond to Sales team requests related to contract status, such as additional information required, follow-up needed, or tracking. Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Prepare reports as requested by Sales managers. Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and electronic filing systems related to Sales and Marketing activities (e.g., tours, mailings). Perform general office duties (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying).

You will add to the success of the MVW team by maintaining high standards and providing the best service. You will need to have a flexible schedule, communicate clearly with coworkers and guests, and follow the companys rules in all situations. Your responsibilities will also include but are not limited to, Maintaining the customer relationship after the sale is complete to ensure continued Owner satisfaction with the organization and to develop future business opportunities (i.e., reloads, referrals, additional sales). This position may require a background check and or drug screen contingent on company policy and state and local requirements. Specific job duties may differ by property, size of team, or facility. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Physical Ability: Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

Work Schedules: Maintain availability to work a fluctuating schedule, based on business needs, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education, Certification, or Licenses Preferred: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent is preferred but not required. Proficiency in English (additional language required for certain positions). One-year related experience is preferred but not required. No Supervisory experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Building and Maintaining Customer Base

Answer Owner questions regarding the use of properties and location amenities; make recommendations given the background information obtained on the Owner through discovery.

Develop and maintain records on customer contacts and use that information to support effective follow-up opportunities.

Monitor contract processing to minimize rescission decisions, provide comprehensive Owner assurance, and ensure timeliness of closings.

Guest Experience and Company Standards

Address guests service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.

Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guests name when possible.

Answers guests questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, entertainment, restaurants, special events).

Speak to guests and coworkers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.

Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property-specific processes to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.

Answers telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in ones voice, using the callers name, transferring calls to the appropriate person/department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.

Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Managers or Leads.

Reports work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.

Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.

Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.

Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.

Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.

Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).

Protects the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Maintains confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.

Follow company and department policies and procedures.

Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
