Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will assist our Project Managers in organizing ongoing projects. This involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. The Coordinator will also work with key Associates across different business units to understand, interpret, and review documented requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Understand the business goals of the project to ensure stakeholder/sponsor expectations are met.
  • Maintain, monitor and update project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Communicate status, changes, and critical issues throughout the project to key project stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Ensure that all team members understand the scope of the project as well as what they are individually responsible to complete.
  • Organize, attend and participate in project meetings.
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Determine project changes and update associated documentation.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Undertake project tasks as required.
  • Implement project management methodologies and standards.
  • Assist with project risks and issue assessment, coordinate the development of mitigation/resolution plans, where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute updated project documentation to all project team members.
  • Ensure project standards, guidelines, and processes are applied and maintained across all technology projects.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Displays good judgement as it relates to issue and risk escalation.
  • Advanced user MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Effectively establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of management internal/external to project office.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year project coordination or project management support experience OR Bachelors degree in related field and completion of relevant internship experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional teams within a formalized methodology.
  • IT background within the Banking industry preferred.
  • Lean Certificate or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
$47,200.00
$78,700.00
