Floral Coordinator, The American Club

Opportunity

Assist in the day to day operations of the Floral department and support team as needed.

Specific Responsibilities

Assist in the everyday operations of the department including weekly scheduling.

Work with Banquets, Culinary, Sales, and Leisure Promotions in the creation of decorations for special events held at The American Club, related properties, and offsite.

Oversee ancillary rental inventory including checking items and counting them to ensure all are returned.

Participate in financial reporting and department reporting, along with managing billing and charge-outs for internal and external floral orders.

Generate a holiday decorating schedule and a holiday decoration take-down schedule.

Take, fill, and deliver (if necessary) customer orders.

Design of daily floral arrangements and daily functions of the department.

Complete hands-on responsibilities including floral processing & stem cleaning, resort watering, removal of garbage etc.

This is a part time position, working weekdays and weekends. Hours are primarily 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Skills/Requirements

Candidates must be 18 years or older to apply

Minimum of 2 years administration experience required.

Understand aspects of floral needs for weddings, corporate function, banquet work, displays, and any other aspects of large scale events design.

Efficient computer skills required.

Must be strong with planning, detail, and accuracy.

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel.

Must be able to lift and/or move objects from 20-50 pounds.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $15.00. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
