ATI is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Operations Leader (Test Lab). The purpose of this position is to direct the assigned hourly employees in the methods and techniques necessary to produce quality products on time, in a safe, cost effective manner. This position is also responsible for supervising, organizing and planning of test specimen preparation and testing of customer forgings consistent with customer specifications and production schedules.

Essential Functions:

Supervise and manage flow through physical test specimen manufacture and destructive testing

Preplan jobs, determine shift staffing assignments, and coordinate scheduling with other departments. Manage and provide training as required.

Actively support the ATI Forged Products safety program, initiatives, and employee engagement activities. Ensure the execution of safe job practices.

Actively support the quality management system and compliance to third party accreditations.

Coordinate preventative maintenance and maintenance repair activities with Maintenance and Engineering departments.

Ensure employee conformance to company work rules

Execute the requirements of union contracts and participate in grievance meetings

Work with team to standardize and optimize processes

Ensure compliance to standard practices and work instruction

Assist with off shift non-destructive testing support as needed

Other Job duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

1 year CNC machining experience, manufacturing, or testing lab experience

1 year experience in working with continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles

Preferred

2 years of supervisory experience

Skills:

Basic Computer Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
