The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As the Sales Incentive SME USAC & LATAM, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the Global Commercial Center by supporting the Sales Operations Pillar. You will drive the global sales incentive strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals across all regions, and oversee the execution of incentive plans in the USAC and LATAM markets. You will also ensure that sales compensation programs adhere to 3M Pay Principles, maintaining competitiveness, performance focus, and global consistency while addressing regional needs.

This position offers collaboration with innovative and diverse global teams across sales, operations, business intelligence, marketing, Talent Acquisition, and IBO.

Here, you will make an impact by:

Global Tactic Development & Execution: Lead the execution of the global sales incentive compensation strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional market needs.

Plan Design & Optimization: Design innovative, scalable incentive programs that drive sales performance and support revenue growth across all regions. Continuously evaluate and adjust plans to remain competitive and effective.

USAC & LATAM Plan Management: Oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of sales incentive programs in the USAC & LATAM region. Ensure global consistency while tailoring programs to meet local business needs and market dynamics.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure governance over all SIBG sales incentive compensation programs, maintaining compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements. Ensure transparency and consistency across all regions.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Establish a regular reporting cadence to track performance against key metrics. Leverage data-driven insights to improve plan design and execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IBO, Finance, HR, Legal, and sales leadership to align compensation strategies with overall business goals.

Communication & Training: Ensure clear communication of compensation plans to sales teams, leadership, and the country SIP analysts. Provide training and guidance to ensure effective execution and understanding of incentive structures.

Technology & Systems Management: Collaborate with internal teams to implement and maintain systems that support the efficient administration and tracking of global sales incentive programs, with a focus on scalability and governance.

Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelors degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

Four (4) years experience managing sales incentive and compensation systems in a private, public, government or military environment

Three (3) years of managing Vistex systems in a private, public, government or military environment

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience managing global stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization

Strong detail orientation, organizational, and prioritization skills and excellent reliability

Consistently seeking, developing, implementing, & sharing best practices

Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams

Motivated to effectively work in a fast-paced environment successfully managing change/ambiguity with an appropriate sense of urgency

Experience with Salse Performance Management software

Experience with training in a private, public, or military environment

Takes ownership of all aspects of role and seeks to uplevel processes over time

Location: Maplewood, MN (Hybrid 2-3 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic and international

Relocation Assistance: May be Authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 – $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
