Essential Job Responsibilities: – Work closely with the architect/engineer. – Coordinate estimating, scheduling, and safety efforts. – Estimate commercial construction projects. – Conduct pre-bid meetings. – Direct value engineering. – Pre-qualify subcontractors and suppliers. – Monitor purchasing. – Supervise shop drawings. – Maintain regular communication with the field. – Provide monthly status reports to the owner. – Participate in all team meetings. – Conduct weekly job site meetings. – Prepare monthly pay requests to owner/architect. – Approve and submit monthly pay requests of subcontractors and suppliers. – Prepare purchase orders for owner tax savings. – Request and maintain operation and maintenance manuals. – Partner with Project Administrator to provide ongoing and accessible support. – Respond to Requests for Information and present cost adjustments. – Travel to specific jobsites as necessary.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in La Crescent, Minnesota.
Work Environment
Projects are within an hour of La Crescent. General Contractor – self performs virtually everything. Projects include commercial, industrial, education, health care/dental, food processing, multi-family/mixed-use. Project sizes range from $5K to $1M on average, running 3-6 jobs on average.
