Job Description

The Service Management Principal IT: Disaster Recovery Program Manager is responsible for developing and advancing the Service Portfolio for Service Management processes, based on the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) framework, in support of key business and IT initiatives. This position is responsible for the Service Continuity Management/Disaster Recovery practice, ensuring service delivery quality and operational excellence across IT using standard processes, best practices, and business engagement. This position will develop a Service Continuity/Disaster Recovery strategy, program roadmap, build solutions to complex problems and lead cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

Serves as expert consultant and subject matter expert in the company for the Service Continuity/Disaster Recovery (DR) service portfolio and partners closely with other ITIL portfolio areas such as Configuration Management, Availability Management, Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Level Management

Works with IT Leadership and experts from multiple teams to design and implement complex DR process interfaces and their enablement within multiple applications and tools

Functions as Program Manager of multiple interdependent highly complex Service Continuity/Disaster Recovery projects including DR test exercises, DR plan builds, and DR tool/application enhancements

Collaborates with IT senior leaders and business senior level stakeholders to understand business needs, to solve problems, and advance IT capabilities

Leads efforts to build consensus on DR best practices and processes at the senior leadership level and contributes to development of DR service strategies

Leads implementation efforts related to the DR service portfolio, including management of organizational change, communication, and training

Presents executive summaries, reports, and metrics to IT and business leadership on the state of the DR service portfolio and project performance

Participate in crisis/enterprise incidents as needed to aid in understanding business impact, driving recovery, and external customer communications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

8 years of relevant experience in multiple IT service management areas

Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

5 years experience with Disaster Recovery solution design, planning and testing, including at least 2 years managing/leading a DR program or complex DR projects

Experience with enterprise Service Management tools (e.g. ServiceNow)

Familiarity with the concepts of DR and High Availability within public cloud solutions, e.g. Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform

Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in large and small group situations and is interpersonally effective

Demonstrated ability to effectively present at leadership level, and lead consensus building efforts on strategy, organizational change and implementations

Extensive experience with productivity software & reporting tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Miro, PowerBI,

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of leadership/management experience

Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Cybersecurity, or ITIL Certifications

Experience with architecture & engineering design of IT infrastructure platforms, backup/data protection systems, or cybersecurity

PBM or healthcare industry experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

Ability to travel up to 10% of time

Reporting Structure

Reports to a Director in the Information Technology department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $115,400.00 – $184,200.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
