Job Description:

The Supply Chain Sourcing Manager I is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Sourcing Specialists under the direction of the Sourcing Director.

Our Supply Chain Sourcing Manager is part of our Sourcing Center of Excellence (COE) and leads a team of engaged caregivers to provide the best possible experience for our customer and supplier stakeholders.

Working in close partnership with Category Management, the Sourcing COE team supports category strategy and planning by leading the key sourcing functions, including take to market strategies, negotiations, contract drafting, and supporting contract lifecycle management. The primary goal of the Supply Chain Contract Manager I is to provide support and guidance for their team on a project and development basis, and to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness across team processes, policies, and best practices.

Essential Job Duties

Management of a team of Sourcing Specialists under limited supervision of the Sourcing Director, performs the orienting, training of new staff and assists in the hiring. (This also includes the routine training of staff to keep current with new applications and processes.)

Manage process improvements for the Sourcing COE team through analysis and fostering a continuous improvement culture

Manage quality control processes, define and communicate quality standards, and hold the operations team accountable to achieving the chosen quality standards

Provide local leadership and performance expectations, measurement, and accountability consistent with corporate objectives

Provide necessary coaching, mentoring and development to increase skills and performance

Communicate and coordinate effectively with other departments

Utilizes appropriate tools and resources to perform the required legal and business analysis of clinical, non-clinical and IT related contracts.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required with two years of experience working in supply chain procurement (sourcing, contracting, purchasing)

Or

A combination of six years of education and / or experience working in supply chain procurement (sourcing, contracting, purchasing)

Plus:

Two years of experience in leading a sourcing, contracting, supply chain or other similar/relevant team lead experience.

Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, project management and communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel

Preferred Qualifications

MBA preferred

Health care product knowledge preferred

Experience working in supply chain procurement (sourcing, contracting, purchasing)

Familiarity with strategic eProcurement platforms (eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Supplier Performance Management modules) and implementation of modules to improve efficiency of the team

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$37.98 – $58.61
