Are you a Project Manager who loves the great outdoors and would like to work for the Department of Health and Welfare at State Hospital North located inOrofino? State Hospital North is a 55-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital dedicated to treating individuals with mental health needs. State Hospital North is currently seeking candidates with a good knowledge of building design practices, general construction methods, and construction contract administration to fill a full-time benefitedProject Manager 1position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Skilled in project management, including the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects.

Develop project goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and evaluation methods. Incumbents identify and coordinate with program committees and advisory groups.

Track project budgets and develop and monitor contracts.

Train and advise staff, project advocates, and program participants. They plan, facilitate, and conduct meetings.

Measure, evaluate and communicate project performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience planning and implementing projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and measurement processes/methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes.Typically gained by one year of work experience with responsibility for planning and implementing projects. These should be involved projects encompassing aspects of identifying project needs; identifying resources to use; identifying funding sources; developing goals and strategies to implement goals and evaluating the outcome of the projects and if the desired outcomes were achieved.

Experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public.Typically gained by a background where the interpretation of laws, policies, procedures, rules, or similar types of information were analyzed and communicated orally, in writing, graphically and/or on the web in a way that was usable by customers.

Experience developing and monitoring contracts.Typically gained by one year of experience which included consultant selection, development of the scope of work and man-hour negotiation, and developing and managing schedule. This experience should also include reviewing progress payments; enforcing contract compliance for scope, budget and milestone completion; and consultant evaluation.

Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.

Experience developing and promoting support for a service program in business or public communications systems and/or information systems. Typically gained by at least one year experience working with current generation computers and software systems, researching, planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating a human service related program.

Experience using Management Information Systems including databases, applications and network infrastructure for project or program applications. Typically gained by at least one year experience where a primary responsibility was to work with developers or business analysts to incorporate program rules and guidelines into technology, process, or automation solutions.
