What you’ll do

The Funding Specialist is responsible for coordinating daily account activity for employer groups who self-fund their health, dental and short-term disability benefit programs. As such, the specialist manages information for clients in the areas of funding, billing and reporting of financial transactions.

Please note, this is a full-time, on-site role located at our headquarters in Westborough, MA. Hybrid options will be available after six-months of employment or once training is completed. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In this role, you’ll also:

Communicate with clients regarding funding requirements based on approved expenses of the plan.

Coordinate and schedule payments to providers and other payees on behalf of client.

Communicate with claim examiners, account managers and various other departments according to client needs.

Compile and audit various monthly activity reports.

Maintain and reconcile client cash account used to pay plan expenses.

Work with Finance staff to ensure client account maintains a positive balance.

Work with Reinsurance staff to ensure provider payments are funded and paid according to stop loss contract guidelines.

Perform other various duties deemed necessary to provide client administrative services.

What you bring

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two or more years’ related experience

Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing

Ability to work both independently and as a team member

Ability to multi task efficiently and accurately

Must be detailed, analytical and accurate

Recognize the need for follow-thru and follow-up

Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines

Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
