Direct Support Professional

Duties:- Provide daily living assistance to clients, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.- Support clients with various tasks, such as household chores, grocery shopping, and transportation.- Engage clients in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.- Offer companionship and support to clients in their daily routines.- Collaborate with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.- Administer medications and provide first aid when necessary.- Perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility issues.- Uphold resident rights, ensuring that clients are treated with dignity and respect.- Provide ongoing support to clients with developmental disabilities, focusing on their growth and development.- Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of caregiving and resident rights.- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.Qualifications- Experience in caregiving, including patient observation and assisting with activities of daily living- First aid certification and experience in medication administration- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities and respect clients rights- Strong communication skills and ability to create and implement care plans- CPR certification and willingness to perform heavy lifting tasks- Familiarity with home care and community living settings.- Strong understanding of resident rights and the importance of promoting client autonomy.- Commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.- Excellent interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role.
